Active Sales: get more out of your customer’s visit

“Guests will let me know when they need something”, “I think it’s pushy to ask if a customer wants another drink”, “If I ask a customer if they want to have anything to go with their coffee, it’s mostly ‘no’ anyway”. This is just a glimpse of the objections I hear from staff at almost every Active Sales training I do. But is this how it really works? Do guests really enter your bar or restaurant with a carefully thought-out plan? Or is there a lot to gain in this situation? If you ask me, there sure is!
